Springmaid Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach Introduces New GM

We’re excited to introduce you to our new General Manager, Don Singletary.  He took the helm leading Springmaid Beach Resort just last week.  Don’s happy to be here and notes, “My career has taken me to many exciting beach destinations in the South East; and more than anything, I’m so pleased to return to Myrtle Beach.  It feels like I’ve come home, and Springmaid Beach Resort is a terrific opportunity – a beautiful, oceanfront resort property with a great staff!”

In fact, it is a homecoming of sorts as Don’s early years included summers spent in Myrtle Beach – then a sleepy beach town – enjoying the beautiful beaches and lots of fishing.   Beginning in high school, Don started working as a Bell Boy at Holiday Inn.  Starting from these humble beginnings and following a degree from USC in Columbia, his career included work throughout all areas of hotel operations, including food & beverage, front desk operations, sales and marketing.  From Myrtle Beach, Columbia,  Charlotte and Charleston in the Carolinas to Virginia and Key West, Don has always enjoyed working in a Destination market the most.  His experience and leadership with such notable brands as Holiday Inn, Marriott and Hilton Hotels, will be a wonderful asset to Springmaid Beach Resort.  Don, we’re happy to have you on the team!
