Each week-long workshop includes:
- 6 nights’ accommodations at Springmaid Beach Resort
- All meals – from Sunday evening arrival dinner through Saturday morning breakfast at Marlin’s Buffet Restaurant located onsite
- 5 days of classes (4 full days Mon – Thurs, ends Fri. 3 p.m.)
- Concludes Friday evening with Gallery Night
Programs
The Springmaid workshop is designed with your individual interests in mind—each instructor has planned a busy schedule of demonstrations, slides/lectures, painting and drawing experiences for artists looking for something different and challenging. This is a watermedia only painting and drawing experience.
Classes will be held each morning and afternoon. Studios will be open for studio activities from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. We request that you do not paint in your hotel room. Evening programs will be held in the Convention Center as announced. Friday evenings are reserved for the workshop exhibit.
All instructors will conduct their individual classes in assigned studios. Some classes may be held outside at locations chosen by the instructor when the weather permits. These schedules will be announced during the opening sessions. Each instructor will help you as an individual to improve your basic skills and methods.
Please, watermedia only; oils cannot be accommodated at this workshop.

The workshop program is structured for both students and professionals alike. Our instructors are renowned as both teachers and artists in the United States and abroad. Participants may register for any one or all of the workshop weeks. Some participants may wish to sign up with the same instructor for consecutive week classes.
Lodging & Travel
Participants will enjoy lodging in the Live Oak building of Springmaid Resort. All rooms are ocean view and feature two queen beds, private bath,microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot and daily housekeeping. We will try to honor room requests wherever possible but cannot guarantee this. Sorry, no special individual diets are available. All accommodations are designated non-smoking.
Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) is just 3 miles from Springmaid Beach.

Enrollment
Enrollment accepted by postal service. Applications are not accepted by phone. Our maximum class size is 25—if more than 25 registrations are received for a particular class on December 17, 2011 a drawing will be held to determine who will be assigned to that class, others will be put on a wait list in case a slot becomes available and then assigned their 2nd and/or 3rd choice. First consideration will be given to resident students.
A $200 per session advance enrollment deposit is required. A $25 processing fee per session will be charged on all cancelled enrollments. Please enclose enrollment deposit of $200 per session with application or guarantee your deposit with a credit card. Cancellations prior to January 15, 2012, are subject to a $25 processing fee, per session. Cancellations after January 15, 2012 will forfeit deposit amount.
Fees
$1,120 covers the cost of instruction, studio fees, private room, breakfasts, lunches, evening dinners and break refreshments. If you prefer to share a room with another participating artist, the fee is $918 each.
Spouses and guests are invited. Golf, tennis, fishing and many other recreational activities are available. Cost per couple with only one enrolled in workshop is $1,381. For those who participate in two or three weeks there will be no charge for weekend lodging and you may keep the same room (meals not included for weekend).
