Class Description – The Creative Edge

Students will learn painting skills such as threading, layering, under painting, resists, and staining.  Jump start your creative juices as Mary promotes the use of experimentation with various materials to broaden the student’s knowledge of available outcomes for clear expression of their ideas.

Students will be urged to identify and strengthen their personal, unique painting styles by using the specific and most meaningful design formats.  Daily demos are on-going as is a lively discussion of alternative strategies for accomplishing a variety of outcomes. At the end of the week, each student presents his/her portfolio of paintings to the class for sharing and evaluation.
