Springmaid Beach Resort & Conference Center Announces New Group Sales Manager

GROUP SALES MANAGER POSITION

Myrtle Beach, SC, Springmaid Beach Resort -- Springmaid Beach Resort & Conference Center added more talent to its Groups & Conferences sales team with the hiring of Jay Rowe. He joins the staff in the position of Group Sales Manager for the Resort’s active Group & Meetings Division.

Jay brings a wealth of experience to the position, including 11 years of hospitality service with the Carriage House at Litchfield Plantation as a club manager. He was recruited, then, as the Food and Beverage Director at The Beaufort Inn in Beaufort, SC. Jay continued to excel in the restaurant industry, and after a year in Beaufort he decided to take his career to the next level.

For the last 11 years, Jay has worked at Horry-Georgetown Technical College as a professor, and then Director of Hospitality and Tourism Management. Jay quickly became active in the community with Hospitality Association, the Chamber, and several charity organizations. He created great relationships within the Hospitality industry working closely with different businesses to help equip his students with knowledge to meet their educational goals. With all of his experience and knowledge of the Hospitality Industry, Jay was an obvious choice as our Group Sales Manager.

Jay will be responsible for the Association, Education, Government, and Affinity Group market segments. Jay comes with a new perspective and fresh ideas and will be instrumental in the future growth of Springmaid Beach Resort!
