Franklin G Burroughs-Simeon B Chapin Art Museum is the Grand
Strand’s home for contemporary art, located at 3100 South Ocean
Boulevard, across from the Springmaid Pier. The museum is a restored
1920’s beach cottage. In the 11 galleries, contemporary art exhibits
change throughout the year. The Museum Shop offers a cross section
of work by leading artists and craftspeople from throughout the
Southeast.
Admission:
Admission is free, but donations are appreciated.
Docent Tours:
Docent tours are available for groups of five to 20 people with a
fee of $2 per person. Reservations must be made at least one week in
advance. School-group docent tours are
provided at no charge. Reservations must be made one week in
